Guidelines

SidebarTab__GuidelinesGuidelines for making items:

Please make sure all items are soft, no scratchy yarns or fabrics.

Absolutely NO Wool or animal fibers, babies may be allergic. Stick to acrylic and cotton. Avoid cotton used to make dishcloths as it is stiff and doesn’t stretch.

Please use bright or pastel colors, nothing dark unless you offset it with say white or a light color.

No solid yellow items for the preemies, it can be used in striping but keep it in the middle away from the edges.

When laundering use ONLY UNSCENTED  detergents and dryer sheets. I use dryer balls.

Yarn Suggestions

Here is a list of yarns that are suitable for making baby items. I suggest using Baby, Sport and DK weight yarns for clothing and hats. And you could use a soft worsted weight yarn for blankets.
I do not recommend Red Heart Super Saver as it is too scratchy and stiff. I would also stay away from the dishcloth cottons, they are also too stiff.
